MicroEstimates provides a suite of estimation tools designed to help users calculate approximate values for various goods, services, and scenarios. The purpose of this privacy notice is to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Services immediately.

1. What information do we collect?
Personal Information You Provide
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for an account, use our estimation tools, or contact us for support.
The personal information we may collect includes:
- Account Information: First name, last name, and email address
- Authentication Data: If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google (name and email)
- Payment Information: If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by our secure third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers.
- Tool Usage Data: The inputs you provide to our estimation tools and the results generated (this data is used solely to provide the service and is not shared with third parties)
- Database Storage: We store your account information and usage data in our own secure database to provide and maintain our services
Information Automatically Collected
Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our estimation tools and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience and understand how our estimation tools are being used.

We use third-party analytics services, including Vercel, PostHog, and other similar services, to help us understand how our estimation tools are used and to improve our services. These services may collect information about your usage patterns, such as which features you use, how often you visit, and general demographic information.
Purpose: This analytics data is used solely to improve our application and user experience. We do not use this information for marketing, advertising, or any other purposes beyond service improvement.
Data Protection: These analytics providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies to understand their data practices.
2. Will your information be shared with anyone?
We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

- Service Providers: We share your payment information with Stripe, our secure payment processor, to handle subscription payments and billing.
- Analytics Providers: We share anonymized usage data with third-party analytics services (such as Vercel, PostHog, and others) solely to improve our application and user experience.

- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
Important: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your estimation tool inputs and results are never shared with third parties and remain private to your account. Analytics data shared with third-party services is anonymized and does not include your specific estimation inputs or results.
3. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information to improve our services and your user experience.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. These help us remember your preferences, understand how you use our estimation tools, and improve our services.
4. How do we handle your social logins?
If you choose to register or log in to our services using Google, we may have access to certain basic information about you.
Our service offers the ability to register and login using your Google account. When you choose to do this, we receive basic profile information including your name and email address. We use this information solely for account creation and authentication purposes.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this privacy notice. We recommend that you review Google's privacy notice to understand how they collect, use and share your personal information.
5. Is your information transferred internationally?
We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
6. How long do we keep your information?
We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information, though some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.
7. Do we collect information from minors?
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor's use of our Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
8. What are your privacy rights?
You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
If you are a resident in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Account Information
If you would like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can do so through your account settings or by contacting us at support@microestimates.com. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
9. Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
10. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?
Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.

Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
12. How can you review, update, or delete the data we collect from you?
Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it in some circumstances.
